This channel hosts videos produced for the UCSF School of Medicine, with some emphasis on the Office of Medical Education within the school. We are showcasing a few of the educational innovations that we are designing in medical education, including the educational technology innovations that are used to enhance the learning experience - both inside and outside of the classroom, clinic and lab.
The School of Medicine launched our new Bridges Curriculum in the fall of 2016. This new innovative UCSF Bridges Curriculum will prepare the 21st century physician to work collaboratively in promoting health and reducing suffering while continually improving our health care system. Our students will contribute to improving healthcare outcomes today while being educated to work within complex systems to improve health care tomorrow.

Просмотров 140Месяц назад
Family medicine physicians are uniquely placed to understand what research should be done to improve the ability of our health care system to provide equitable, patient-centered primary care. But the culture of family medicine does not always recognize this potential, at least in part due to the perception that research is disconnected from the immediate needs of the communities we serve. In th...

Thanks!

Please I'm a Nigerian... how did you get into medical school
Another example of where your tax money goes in California
You have got to stop wasting tax payers money to enable alcoholics! You’re not helping anyone with these ridiculous “programs.” Progressive idiocy!
So they think some free shots throughout the day will manage their alcoholism. Did the one who invented this insane measure ever know an alcoholic? How much is enough? It’s never enough so they’ll be getting their freebies then heading out to panhandle for money to buy more. Great going SF!! Only things this will change is longer intervals between begging and they’ll be drunker than before. This is absurd. SF used to be my favorite city. Will not visit as long as this insanity persists.
This is bizarre. Just when I thought I had seen the worst of the social decline in our nation, I come across this BS.
In another stroke of genius they have approved a program to extend a helping hand to chronic masturbators with carpal tunnel syndrome. Officials have told the press a release will be coming soon.
Vomit is much easier to hose off a sidewalk than a pile of feces… so there is that.
No doubt a wealthy SF resident in the alcohol distribution industry was handsomely rewarded for his generous donation to city leaders. Getting all of it back and then some.
Starting around 13 minutes she explains the amount of alcohol they provide. Before that she explains the purpose of the program is just to decrease physical harm and ER visits. Just lunacy. It sounds like the safe drug zones that have been created. All drugs are allowed to be used there without police intervention. How did we get here? Using government funds for these harebrained ideas. Plain idiocy.
Having been a booze hound for over 50 years I can testify man cannot manage demons, ONLY JESUS can truly set one free. 🎉 Maranatha!
"MAP"? Isn't that the swap term for pedophiles?
Only JESUS Saves
From what I read, they make no attempt to monitor how much alcohol an individual gets. People can just keep getting back in line until they black out.
Taxpayer funding of enabling alcoholism: Absolutely batshit crazy. Well-done SF. You're making your real estate affordable again!
You people are clinically psychotic! Don't treat . . . self-medicate!! Wow!
Ghirardelli is giving away free chocolate if you have a doctor's notice of being a chronic chocolate addict (CCA)
Let’s be honest: those aren’t nurses, they are waitresses or overqualified bartenders. Liberalism run amok. But after COVID, what can one expect from health professionals and experts?
I have a concupiscence problem where from time to time I feel a temptation to infidelity towards my wife, could you send a lady of the night my way to take care of this? Thanks. **C&C Army**
Wow, this is nuts.
Now known as the Department of Public Health and Drunkenness. (Coffee & Covid)
As a manager with hiring authority, I will not hire anyone with a degree from UCSF. Ever. I dont want stupid people on my team.
Enable much?
This is pretty simple, the government isn't trying to treat addiction, they just want to become the supplier. Literally pure evil.
You are enabling at the tax payer's expense.
Reminds me of the days of the beer garden at Bush Gardens so many years ago. All we did at the park back then was go in and out of the one exhibit over and over 🤣
Ha Ha! Soma was the made up drug in Huxley's novel Brave New World.
Why does EVERYONE who speaks on behalf of the government (think NPR) ... Why do they always sound condescending?
It's their foolish pride.
Hey! Cool! Let’s all join the party. I’ll bring the karaoke 🎤 machine. 🤩 🎵 🎶 🤗😮 🎤🥃🍺🍻🍷🍾
Having lost various family members to alcoholism, this is repugnant. When are the pop-up food vendors going to start handing out Doritos and ice cream to those with food addiction?
This is a joke. Feeding the problem by manipulating data to show it is "saving" tax payer dollars. Solution=vote the idiots out of office who don't treat tax payer funds like their own check books. Start treating people, not pandering to their feelings. Life is hard. Get over it.
As a kid in the 1960’s I’d overhear my father and uncles laughing about the crazy shit the socialists in the USSR did. California, literally: Hold my beer.
I see Caligula is still ruling SF. *Coffee & Covid
Childers Rules!!!!!1
Unbelievable!! But NORMAL in California
Expanding Alcohol Harm: The SF Department of Public Alcohol Addiction Program--There, I fixed your title for you. You're welcome. And, btw, what are your true objectives and who are you working for? Because improving public health and welfare clearly isn't your purpose nor are you working for the citizens of California.
I have a shopping addiction. Will San Franciscan taxpayers help offset my credit card bills?
Nope, but you can offset your own costs by just strolling into a grocery or any type of chain corporate store, steal $950 or less worth of merchandise, exit the store with goods in hand, and not worry about being prosecuted. So, you'd have that going for ya!
Or rather, set up a department store for you where you can go in every hour or two and "shop" for free stuff! 😮
It depends on how much you shoplift. I think under $900, they don't prosecute.
What?
More insanity from the woke crowd in San Francisco. Once a beautiful city, you have destroyed it. If you want to clean up the streets put them to work and they’ll probably all leave. But that would take common sense.
You people are nuts!
Unfuckingbelievable
Kooks.
SF spends 2 million dollars a year on providing free alcohol to participants of the Managed Alcohol Program It is located in a hotel in SOMA
It's actually $5 million...
"The tension between harm reduction and client autonomy"... what about the rest of the community and the severe negative impact of having so many addicts running the streets? SF has been destroyed by this
They'll develop a program for you once they can figure out how to squeeze dollars from it
Yes, it has. As I said, they are serious and insane.
Can you send a keg to my house so I can manage my alcohol at home
Dignity = keeping acholics intoxicated? These doctors need doctors too!
Is this for real? SF is a joke
